Here are two songs Todd recorded in the late 90s that somehow slipped through the cracks and were never released. These songs were the only ones recorded during a period when Todd was concentrating on playing live. It was probably assumed at the time that these songs would be part of some future album project. That never happened.
The mixes here are the original ones from the 90s, as only the stereo master files survived the decades. Todd remastered these in April 2024 for this release.
Another version of "Now You Know" appeared on Todd's 2002 album, Just a Skeleton Under that Skin, but it was tame compared to this much more lively earlier version. There are also a couple of glitches that you can clearly hear in the only existing stereo master of the album version. This further motivated Todd to now release this superior and un-glitched version.
This is the first time that "Hand-Me-Down" has been released in any form, and it is the only version ever recorded. Todd's band did however briefly play the song live in the late 90s.
Both of these tracks were going to be included in a collection of unreleased music from Todd's past, but he decided they would make a great single instead. So here it is.
